Ned Yost was never an easy guy to pin down. While in Kansas City, he never even received a single first-place vote for Manager of the Year even while, in consecutive seasons, leading the team to: (1) First winning season in a decade; (2) American League pennant; (3) World Series title. He will never be called a genius. He will also never be forgotten in Kansas City.
