For the most part, I abhor April Fool’s gags. However, when our good friend Talia, who handles a lot of social media for us, wanted to try a joke, well, she came up with a pretty funny one, I think.

This is funny on its own, which is what makes it work. But I think some of you might know that one of the few things in this world I abhor more than April Fool’s gags is, yes, pickleball, which I hate with the heat of a thousand suns. It also would have been funny if it were WHY WE LOVE THE INTENTIONAL WALK, but that would probably not have made as good a cover.

What’s the deal with the Twins and all these home runs?

In 2019, kind of out of nowhere, the Minnesota Twins set the major league record for most home runs in a season. When I say out of nowhere, well, the whole crazy 2019 home run explosion came a little bit out of nowhere. Yes, home runs were way up coming into the year, and everybody was talking about how the baseballs were obviously juiced, but still…
