All-State Tournament: : No. 7 Florida vs. No. 10 Indiana
Previously on the All-State Tournament …
No. 5 seed Texas joined the Final Eight party with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Illinois in 10 innings — Greg Maddux outdueling Robin Roberts in that one.
Texas became the fifth team to advance, joining No. 1 California, No. 2 Pennsylvania, No. 4 New York and, the surprising team so far, No. 14 Louisiana.
Today we preview Florida-Indiana and, below, tell you what happened in that much-anticipated Georgia-Alabama matchup.

And now, you get to decide where we go from here. We are down to our last two games of the first round. The Final Eight and Final Four matchups will be three-game series … and the championship will be a best-of-seven. This thing has mushroomed so much more than I ever could have dreamed when coming up with the idea, and so I will leave it up to you.
Do you want daily recaps of each of the games? That is to say: Do you want me to write each day about each game?
Or would you rather have a recap of each SERIES?
Give you an example: We know that the winner of the Texas-Illinois game below will play New York in the Final Eight. Would you want one story that reviews that entire best-of-three-game series? Or do you want to stretch it out, with a single game story each day, until we have a winner? The second is obviously a lot more work for me but … as always, I’m here for you.
I am already planning on writing about each game in the championship round, so I’m only asking this question about the Final Eight and Final Four series. Here’s the poll.
