A Father's Day Celebration
Hi everybody! Wanted to get out a few housekeeping notes.
(1) Father’s Day is this Sunday! Of course, I am going to remind you of the perfect Father’s Day Gift — The Baseball 100! (Available at Bookshop, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Rainy Day Books for signed copies).
(2) On Father’s Day, I’m launching the much-anticipated TEN WHO MISSED series, which will feature full-length essays on 10 players who just missed The Baseball 100, as chosen by you brilliant readers. We’ll have a new TEN WHO MISSED essay every week. It should be really fun, and a perfect companion to The Baseball 100.
If you would like to subscribe, here’s a handy little button.
(3) A few of you have asked about The Football 101. We are up to No. 40 — and our continuing plan is to count down (along with Fox Sports) until we get to No. 1 on Super Bowl Sunday! Fun, right? We’ll be picking up the countdown in about a month, when football camps open.
(4) I am in all-systems-go mode on my next book, WHY WE LOVE BASEBALL. I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am about this one — it’s simply going to be a fireworks explosion of baseball fun. If you want some hints about where I’m going, you can check out this Twitter link, where I put up a few polls asking folks to choose between some baseball events. I might put up a few polls like this here as well, if you want.
(5) I am working on putting together a trivia night for our group. I’m not exactly sure how it will work, but keep an eye out for updates.
(6) Mike Schur and I were forced by the goons at Meadowlark Media to do an emergency PosCast about Tony La Russa’s wacky intentional walk — it was such a high priority in the glass offices of Meadowlark Towers that Meadowlark founder Dan Le Batard himself joined to make sure it went off smoothly.
You can listen on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Audible or wherever you get your podcasts.
Thanks, as always for your support, and stay tuned for more!
Please add the poll to this blog. Thanks!
Looking forward to it Joe!
